We eat for a variety of reasons and all are important for providing nourishment to our bodies, our minds and our souls. The sights, smells and the tastes of food shape our daily experiences. Food can introduce to new new cultures, it can impact our memories and effect our outlook on the world.
Relationships are central to our survival, and just as we have a basic need for shelter we also have a basic need for social integration. Humans are, by nature, highly social beings; we love to be surrounded by friends and share our experiences with others and it is often the sharing of food that brings us together.
This months Recipe ReDux is all about coming together, sharing food and enjoying the sense of engagement and connectedness that it brings.
